Happy to help teach young children (and parents alike) the importance of local farms, knowing where your food comes from, and responsible animal care, we open our farm up to weekday farm tours, and occasional weekend tours. For a small fee (based on number of attendees), home school groups, elementary school classes and pre-school playgroups are invited to join us for a 1&1/2 hour guided tour of the property, petting and feeding the animals, while learning the fundamentals of what we do here.
Curriculum can be customized to meet the needs/age of your group. Pre-schoolers may learn about using the five senses on the farm while 4th graders might be challenged to “be on the lookout” for the use of simple machines, and 6th graders might scratch the surface of the digestive tract (do YOU know the differences in digestion between cows and horses)? Farm tours are best in the Spring and Fall months and each child will need to have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Contact us to schedule your tour today. Tour fees are $10/per guest with a minimum of 8 guests. Cash, Check or Venmo accepted.
